Three facts to check before the next payroll
A recent wage announcement does not replace the signing date on every existing contract. Start with the actual contract, then review the month’s events.

Know what each record says
A statement explains an amount payable. A payment entry records money actually sent or received. A signed copy records an acknowledgment. Keeping these records separate makes a partial payment or disputed amount easier to explain.
- Review the agreed salary and food arrangement before issuing a statement.
- Keep rest days, statutory holidays, booked leave and actual leave visible.
- Separate helper reimbursements from costs paid directly to a vendor.

The demo uses Maria Santos and sample Hong Kong dollar entries. Its records stay in your browser; uploaded demo file bytes last only for that browser session. Private sign-in setup is pending.
The pilot supports ordinary full-month pay records. Partial months, statutory pay calculations and disputed deductions need separate review. A generated document does not certify legal compliance.

Thoughtful checklists for monthly pay, days off and one-off costs.
A monthly check that starts before you press “finalize”.
A practical monthly checklist: contract version, actual calendar events, reviewed expenses, statement, payment and signed acknowledgment.
Before recording extra work, identify the day.
Three Hong Kong domestic helper calendar examples showing why ordinary rest day work, statutory holiday work and replacement dates need different records.
A travel receipt needs a payer and a purpose.
Track the trip purpose, payer, receipt currency and reviewed HKD amount. Keep vendor costs separate from reimbursements owed to the helper.
Good questions deserve clear answers.
Is HelperPay HK ready for my real household records?
Use the fictional demo while private sign-in setup is pending. Real household use needs verified authentication, reviewed payroll wording and an agreed retention and recovery process.
Does downloading a salary statement mark it paid?
No. Record the actual payment separately, with its amount, date and reference. A partial payment leaves an outstanding balance.
Will an extra payment settle a statutory holiday obligation?
An extra payment entry does not establish that a holiday arrangement meets the rules. Keep the holiday and any replacement arrangement available for review.
How are these guides maintained?
Each page shows a review date and the official sources supporting its legal facts. The current review is 5 October 2026; changes after that date need a fresh source check.
